IT'S HERE! aka DAN Adoption Documentary + Album #akaDAN

The time has finally come!
^_^

They have released Dan's documentary! It has been split up into parts and part 1, 2 and 3 are currently available to view on YouTube.

I can not wait for everyone to see it in it's entirety. I think it is something that EVERYONE will enjoy. Such a fun and heartwarming watch.

I did a lot of laughing, a bit of crying and overall found it to be a very soul soothing piece for me.

Enjoy!

Dan has also created an album inspired by his journey that you can preview and purchase below.

I have listened to the whole album and absolutely love it!
It explores a lot of thoughts and feelings that I myself, as a fellow Korean American Adoptee, have dealt with in my lifetime as well as some things I'm still going through now. It's nice to hear someone else say so much of what I have felt.
Out loud.

However - you don't need to be adopted, Korean, asian, etc. to enjoy the album.
There are many different styles and sounds featured here as well as some cool collaborations with other wonderful artists that I think anyone can enjoy!

My favorite tracks so far:
Afterwords
Spaceship
and of course the theme song and current single - Is there Anybody Out There (which you can listen in it's entirety (linked below))

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading and supporting this project.
Words can not express how proud I am of Dan. I have never been so happy for a friend and I fully support all the great things he is doing.

Love,
Holly

  1. Oh man.. I've only made it through the first video and I've already gone through an entire roller coaster of emotions! Maybe it's hormonal or the fact that I tear up easily (wedding/proposal videos, coming home videos, animal videos, etc.), but this is amazing. I am also a Korean-American adoptee, so this resonates with me as well. Definitely inspires and reminds me there are similar stories to my own! (: It also reminds me of how blessed and loved I am. I've always considered starting my own search for my birth family, but had no idea where to begin. Finding biological relatives would be so incredible! Every time I hear of or meet someone that is Korean and adopted, I instantly start eyeing them and wondering if we could be related. Just me??

Thank you for sharing Dan's story (as well as a tiny bit of your own, as I'd never known we had this bit in common). It is BEAUTIFUL. NOW, back to the rest of the videos and my happy sob fest.
